Postpartum Keepers

A school for the embodied practice of postpartum care

Rooted in Ayurvedic wisdom, herbal traditions, and lived postpartum practice.

Postpartum Keepers is a 14-month journey for those who feel called to tend slowly, reverently, and skillfully to postpartum mothers — without burning out, abandoning themselves, or falling into self-sacrifice.

This path shapes who you become, as much as the skills you learn.

Who this is for

Postpartum Keepers is for those who feel the pull to postpartum care as a calling.

You may already be a doula, practitioner, mother, or caretaker — or you may be standing at the threshold of an entirely new direction, listening closely.

This path is for you if you desire to become someone who —

  • Understands birth and postpartum as profound initiations

  • Feels connected to ancestral and holistic ways of tending new mothers

  • Can tend postpartum bodies with steadiness, skill, and humility

  • Can support the physical, emotional, energetic, and spiritual dimensions of the postpartum journey

  • Honors grief, complexity, and medical realities with presence and care

  • Gives from overflow rather than depletion

  • Values beauty, ritual, and ceremony as essential aspects of healing

  • Holds space without rescuing, fixing, or over-functioning

  • Is rooted enough in themself to practice sustainably over time

The arc of the journey

Rather than moving through modules, you pass through thresholds.

Each threshold includes pre-recorded audio & video transmissions and embodiment practices, designed to shape your perception, capacity, and presence — while keeping you grounded in your own body and nervous system.

Initiation & Recalibration: Thresholds 1-2

You begin by meeting birth and postpartum as portals — not only for the mothers you serve, but for your own becoming.

You learn to —

  • Recognize birth as an initiatory passage

  • Understand postpartum needs through Ayurvedic and holistic frameworks

  • Reorient toward receiving before giving

  • Release patterns of self-sacrifice and over-responsibility

  • Hold postpartum clients without taking on their healing as your own

These thresholds recalibrate your relationship to care itself.

The Foundations of Postpartum Tending: Thresholds 3-11

Here, care becomes embodied.

You slowly develop practical, sensory, and intuitive skills for tending the postpartum body, heart, and spirit — with simplicity, confidence, and discernment.

You become skilled in —

  • Preparing and choosing simple, deeply nourishing postpartum foods

  • Body oiling, oil making, and herbal powders as grounding medicine

  • Belly wrapping and tending the womb with pastes and oils

  • Supporting lactation and breast health with steadiness and sensitivity

  • Aromatherapy and flower essences as subtle, supportive allies

  • Marma point therapy and anointing as emotional processing and integration

  • Preparing and choosing herbal remedies with intention and care

  • Postpartum bathing practices as restoration and ritual

  • Weaving beauty and ceremony into postpartum healing

  • Tending newborns holistically, with gentleness and reverence

This is where your hands learn to move with confidence, and your presence becomes part of the medicine.

Complex Postpartum Care: Threshold 12

As your steadiness grows, you are guided into complexity.

You learn to walk alongside —

  • NICU journeys and medicalized beginnings

  • Cesarean recovery

  • Grief, loss, and stillbirth

  • Families navigating special diagnoses

This threshold strengthens your capacity to remain present without collapsing or turning away.

Continuum of Care & Integration: Thresholds 13-14

You are guided into the wider arc of care — before, during, and immediately after birth — and into the practical reality of offering this work sustainably.

You become someone who —

  • Understands simple Ayurvedic and herbal birth preparation and labor support

  • Can offer grounded, immediate post-birth care

  • Thinks clearly about boundaries, energy, and livelihood

  • Approaches feminine business as an extension of integrity, not hustle

What you receive

  • Monthly recorded audio & video transmissions, released over 14 months

  • Monthly embodiment practices to support integration of wisdom and development of hands-on skill

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this a certification?
Postpartum Keepers is not a professional certification or license. Upon completion, participants receive a Certificate of Recognition acknowledging their participation, including number of hours and topics covered.

Are there live calls or a community forum?
No. Postpartum Keepers is intentionally designed without live calls, discussion forums, or community groups. All teachings are offered through pre-recorded transmissions to support depth, privacy, and nervous system regulation.

How long do I have access?
You will have access to all transmissions for 18 months from enrollment. This is a time-bound apprenticeship, designed to support completion rather than indefinite consumption.

What happens if I miss a payment?
Payment plans are automated. If an installment remains unpaid for more than 30 days, enrollment in Postpartum Keepers is discontinued and access is removed.

Is this appropriate if I’m not currently a doula or a mother?
Yes. Postpartum Keepers is open to those who feel called to postpartum care, whether you are currently practicing, a mother yourself, or standing at the threshold of this work for the first time.

Can I move at my own pace?
Thresholds open sequentially, once per month. You are invited to move slowly and integrate the work in your own time, within the overall 18-month completion window.

Is there an alumni rate?
Yes. Students and graduates of Inner Sun & Moon’s Ayurvedic Doula Training are eligible for alumni tuition. Please contact Sarva at heal@innersunandmoon.com for your alumni enrollment link.
