Inner Sun & Moon is a sanctuary for sacred education and nature-rooted remembering.

It is a living container — shaped by cycles, nourished by devotion, and grounded in the ancient arts of Natural Therapeutics, Ayurveda, and alchemical self-care.

For over a decade, Inner Sun & Moon has served as a space for learning, healing, and soul-guided practice. It is especially known for its holistic trainings in postpartum care and subtle bodywork, offering teachings that honor the rhythm of the Earth and the wisdom of the body.

Now entering a new season, Inner Sun & Moon is evolving with gentleness and care — guided by beauty, slowness, and trust in what wants to emerge.

All that is offered here is rooted in reverence. May it serve your return to balance, soul, and sacred embodiment.

Meet Sarva

Sarah “Sarva” Blackwell is an artist of the sacred and a longtime practitioner of postpartum care, herbal medicine, and ceremonial healing. Her work is rooted in nature’s intelligence, embodied practice, and traditional frameworks that support women through birth, postpartum, and life’s major thresholds.

For over twenty years, Sarva has worked in liminal spaces — tending new life, holding grief and transformation, and practicing the slow, skillful arts that help people feel safe, nourished, and at home in their bodies. Her path weaves together postpartum care, herbalism, bodywork, natural therapeutics, temple life, and motherhood, each shaping her understanding of what true nourishment requires.

She is the co-founder of Inner Sun & Moon and the former steward of The Ayurvedic Doula, a globally respected training that helped redefine postpartum care by integrating classical Ayurvedic wisdom with Western herbalism, flower essences, ritual bathing, and beauty as medicine. Rooted in devotion to her late teacher, Ysha Oakes, this work carried forward a lineage interrupted too soon and now lives on through practitioners serving families and communities worldwide.

Sarva’s current work marks a quieter, more distilled cycle of teaching — focused on transmission rather than accumulation. She approaches postpartum tending as an initiatory art: a practice that shapes not only how we care for mothers and newborns, but who we become in the process.

She lives in the Pacific Northwest, where forest, sea, and sky continue to teach her about rhythm, restraint, and devotion.

Meet Madana

Max “Madana” Blackwell—also known as Madan the Alchemist—is a devoted student and teacher of Nature’s wisdom, with fifteen years experience in the healing arts. He began his journey with Reiki in 2010, becoming a Reiki Master by 2012, as well as graduating in 2013 from the New Mexico School of Natural Therapeutics. There he immersed himself in the philosophy and practice of Natural Therapeutics and Vitalism, then went on to complete all seven levels of Core Synchronism, deepening both his practical skill and philosophical understanding of subtle bodywork and the vital force.

Rooted in the traditions of Natural Therapeutics, Vitalism, and what he calls “Soul Science,” Madan’s work supports the reawakening of the body’s innate intelligence and a return to the rhythms and laws of Life. He believes true healing begins when we learn to relax and live in harmony with Nature—rather than in resistance to it.

Known for his warmth, clarity, and integrative presence, Madan weaves practical knowledge with spiritual depth, offering a bridge between ancient healing traditions and the modern seeker’s journey. He lives with his wife Sarva and their three young children in a home devoted to creativity, learning, and conscious living.
